In the spring of 2020 I received a grant to spend a month in Eureka Springs, AR. I stayed in an isolated cabin that had a few trails and a large cave on the property. My proposal was to use the recordings from the land and surrounding area to build a library of sounds for composing a number of fixed duration ambisonic compositions. I would capture recordings daily from the cabin as well as visit sites in the surrounding area using an array of different microphones from homemade single channel contact mics to recording in B-Format ambisonics.
